5th October 2024 - An amazing "Sporting-Equals" Gala night - Celebrating hard working volunteers and organisations up and down the country in Sports. Thank you to the organisers for inviting us. It was fantastic to be in a room full of inspiration, amazing speakers, learning of similar struggles and journey's from winners and nominees, many who are volunteers who have given up hundreds if not thousands of hours of their lives over the years, giving back to their communities.

30th September

A big Thank you to our guest infants team SST Deane who played a friendly match against our Play Sportz Infants yesterday. It was a very fluid game, with plenty of action and talent. This was a chance for both organisations to meet and showcase their recent weeks of training in front of a packed out parental audience. The session ended with a final extra match where all the players were mixed up and two teams created. So not only did they compete on the day, but they also collaborated. Real Community Spirit.

The toddlers group was only launched in early 2023, and already it has taken great momentum and growing fast. Our talented coaches Adrian, Suey & Khrish are putting on a variet of drills each week that keeps the players very interested and active.

17th April 2024 Nice Announcement – Read on

We are now the biggest Netball Organisation for Children in the North West. What an achievement in a short space of time.

I would therefore really like to talk about the success of our committee / volunteers who don’t just run netball, but all our other sporting activities. Our success boils down to a large committee / volunteers, with such diversity, age groups from 19yrs, to in their 20’s 30’s 40’s 50’s and upwards. We don’t just develop our players but we develop our committee members / volunteers / coaches. Qualifications is key for us, as is safeguarding and First Aid. As our members grow, so do our team, and not just in numbers but also skill sets.

Our coaches don’t just coach. They are mentors, role models, inspirational to the children they work with, and truly develop the next generation of leaders. I have so much joy watching them perform on a Sunday Morning in their teams, in how they interact with not just the players, but also the parents who attend with them. Listening to our members feedback is key. Massive thank you to Rina Lakhman, Chandrika Halai, Dimple Patel, Sammy Patel, Meeta Parbat, Adrian Patel, Krish Patel, Suey Parbat, Jamie Lees, Kish Murji, Ritesh Chauhan, Denesh Parbat, Aaron Patel.

I also wish to praise all those parents who often also help out.

Can’t wait for our team building event in May 😊

Congratulations to our Coach of the Year 2023 - Rina Lakhman (Netball)

Rina coach of year 23.jpg

This award was presented by Abbey Barry, Netball Development Officer from Netball England.

Rina has been such an inspiration not to only the girls who participate, but also to her Netball coaching colleagues. She puts in so much hard work and dedication, organising in advance all her sessions in a fun manner.

We are tremendously lucky to have such a committed coach on the team who puts every girl first, and ensures no one is left out.

Rina also led the teams in the 2023 Sports Mela Tournament. Well done.
