The 'Bolton Sports Mela' was first launched in 2016. Its objective is to bring various communities together in one big annual sporting event, usually in the summer. Over the years this has successfully grown exponentially to over 1000 attendances. It can only be described as a festival day, of sporting celebrations, with competitive matches and games in Badminton, Netball, Football, Quick Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Athletics, chess to including those of Indian origin such as Kho, Ring, Carrom.

It is attended by over a dozen organisations, all working in harmony, creating such a social and interactive day. A platform for many to get to know one another, learning different sports, promoting, and teaching cultural and traditional games. There are delicious food stalls, music, dancing, awards and plenty of non-sporting activities for all age groups and genders on the day.  We are pleased to say that Play Sportz has played a big part in this event each year, not only contributing to organising the event, but also taking part and helping fund it.
